Handling of personal data / The legal basis we rely on 

Personal data is information that can be used to identify a person, i.e. information that can be traced back to a person. This includes the name, email address, or telephone number. Also data about preferences, hobbies, memberships, or which websites were viewed by someone count as personal data.

The types of information we collect and use? 

We collect and use personal data that concerns you in connection with use of our website [customer support, newsletter, comments section]. We may collect the following categories of personal data and other information related to you:

§   Identification data and business contact information, you share with us such as first name, last name, job/position/title, business email address, business address, business telephone number, business mobile number, telefax number, personal email address, personal telephone number, personal mobile number, gender, login credentials.

§   Additional information you provide to us in the course of your use of the website, register for an account in the comments section and providing the service requested such as interests in Aski products, subscription preferences, personal preferences, webinars, posts published in the comments section, opinions, images and videos.

§   Electronic identification data and information collected by the communications systems, IT applications and website browser such as Name of the accessed website, file, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, notification of successful access, device identifier (mobile device ID, IP address, browser type, browser settings, time and URL accessed, cookies), referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address, the requesting provider, login credentials, login data and log files, analytics ID. The provider uses the log data only for statistical analysis for the purpose of operation, security, and optimization of the Offer. However, the provider reserves the right to check the log data subsequently if there is a justified suspicion of unlawful use based on concrete indications.

Why we use your personal data 

We may use your personal data as described above for the following purposes:

§  to understand your interests and preferences in relation to the Aski website;

§  to register an account for the comments section, grant you access to and authenticate you on the Aski website;

§  to subscribe for newsletters and in the course of the subscription to follow comments, posts, articles, authors, webinars, news and updates about Aski products and services;

§  to provide you the possibility to create your profile on the Aski website, for example to create posts, make comments, follow posts and discussions and sign-up for newsletters etc.;

§  to provide customer support and process, evaluate and respond to requests and inquiries, including using the chatbot;

§  to register you as a partner;

§  to provide you with dedicated trainings;

§  to register and organize webinars.

 

Integration of third-party services and content 

It may happen that third-party content, such as videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites are integrated within this online Offer. This always requires that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as “third-party providers”) perceive the IP address of the user. Without the IP address, they could not send the content to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is thus necessary for the display of this content. We endeavor to use only such content whose respective providers use the IP address only for the delivery of the content.

Cookies

Cookies are small files that enable specific information related to the device to be stored on the user’s access device (PC, smartphone, or similar). On the one hand, they serve the user-friendliness of websites and thus the users (e.g. storage of login data). Retention period 

Based on mandatory legislation, Aski must keep your personal data for a minimum period of time. We only keep your personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this privacy notice. After this time, we will securely delete your personal data, unless we are required to keep it in order to meet legal or regulatory obligations, or to resolve potential disputes. Note, Aski will to the extent necessary delete posts, articles, press releases or destroy brochures, where your image was used; and will remove it from all databases to avoid further usage.

At the same time, applicable data protection laws require that we do not keep personal data in an identifiable form for any longer than is necessary for the purpose for which the personal data is being processed. Through the setting of IT applications and policies we ensure that our keeping of your personal data is deleted when we no longer need it.

Contact, revocation, changes, corrections, and updates 

The user has the right, upon request and free of charge, to receive information about the personal data stored about him. In addition, the user has the right to correct incorrect data, blocking and deletion of his personal data, provided that this does not conflict with any legal obligation to retain data.
